A huge congratulations to our very own @lukewyerfitness and @brian_mc_fitness for absolutely smashing their way through the Hyrox Turin event on 1st/2nd February 2025!
Competing in one of the toughest and most prestigious functional fitness challenges out there, they showcased incredible strength, endurance, and determination on the international stage, making us all at The Unit Gym Clara extremely proud.

What is Hyrox?
For those unfamiliar with Hyrox, it’s an international fitness competition designed to test both endurance and strength through a gruelling yet exhilarating format. Unlike traditional races, Hyrox combines 8 rounds of 1km running with 8 functional workout stations, including:
- Sled pushes & pulls
- Burpee broad jumps
- Rowing
- Wall balls
- Farmers carry
- Sandbag lunges
It’s a true test of mental and physical resilience, attracting fitness enthusiasts from around the world who are looking to challenge themselves at the highest level.
Hyrox Turin: A Weekend of Grit & Glory
Last weekend’s Hyrox event in Turin, Italy, brought together some of the strongest and most determined athletes in functional fitness. The competition was intense, but Luke and Brian took on the challenge head-on, pushing through every rep and every kilometre to cross that finish line with pride. Their performance was a testament to their hard work, discipline, and the top-level training they’ve put in at The Unit Gym.
As Luke said himself, “It will be the first of many!”
